Who we are

CNC Buyers Agents is a trading name of CNC Organisation, a licensed Queensland buyer's agent operating across South East Queensland. Our website address is https://cnc.team.

We are committed to protecting the privacy of everyone who visits our website or engages us as a buyer's agent. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights in relation to it.

AML/CTF notice: From 1 July 2026, CNC Organisation is a reporting entity under the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006 (Cth). As a buyer's agent we are required by law to collect and verify your identity before or at the point of entering into a property transaction on your behalf. This collection is a legal obligation — not optional — and is governed by AUSTRAC and the Australian Privacy Principles.

Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and identity verification

As a licensed buyer's agent and AUSTRAC reporting entity, we are required by law to verify your identity before or when entering into a contract to act on your behalf in a property transaction. This process is known as Customer Due Diligence.

CDD involves collecting and verifying:

  • Your full legal name, date of birth, and residential address
  • Government-issued identity documents sufficient to verify the above
  • Where applicable, information about the source of funds being used to purchase the property

If you decline to provide the information required for CDD, we may be unable to act on your behalf. In some circumstances we may also be required to file a Suspicious Matter Report (SMR) with AUSTRAC. We are prohibited by law from telling you if an SMR has been filed.

In accordance with OAIC guidance, we do not retain copies of full identity documents collected on or after 1 July 2026 beyond what is strictly necessary for verification purposes.
